When you’re done, the resource is in your Library, which you open from the sidebar under Learn.

Open the dialog

  1. On the right of the header at the top, choose Add resource. The Add a resource to your library dialog opens on the Link tab, beside Upload, Note, and Book. Each tab has its own Add resource button at the bottom right.
  1. Enter the link in the field that reads Paste a link to a web page, article, social post, podcast, or video.
  2. Choose Add resource. The dialog closes.

Upload a file

  1. Choose Upload. It takes PDF, DOCX, PPTX, MD, TXT, VTT, PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, and MOV.
  2. Choose the area that reads Drop a file here, or choose one. A file picker opens.
  3. Choose the file. Its name appears in that area.
  4. Choose Add resource. The dialog closes.

Write a note

  1. Choose Note.
  2. Enter a title in the Title field.
  3. Enter the note’s text in the field that reads Paste or write anything you want to keep. Add resource becomes available once both fields are filled.
  4. Choose Add resource. The dialog closes.

Add a book

  1. Choose Book.
  2. Enter the book’s title in the field that reads Title, ISBN, or link. Matching books appear below it. If the tab says No matches found, try a different title.
  3. Choose the book in the list. The tab asks Add this book? and shows its cover, title, authors, and year. Nothing is added yet. If it’s the wrong book, choose Back at the bottom left to return to the list.
  4. Choose Add resource. The dialog closes.

Or ask Scout

  1. In the sidebar on the left, choose Learn. Scout appears below it.
  2. Choose Scout. Its chat page opens.
  3. In the message field at the bottom of the page, enter a message with the link in it. For example: “Please add this to my Library:” followed by the link.
  4. Press Return.
Scout replies in the chat. When it has added the link, it says so.

Check it worked

After the dialog closes, a Resource added message appears in the lower right. Choose Open resource on it to go there. The message closes on its own. If you asked Scout, its reply confirms it. Either way, the resource is then at the top of your Library. To get there, choose Learn in the sidebar, then Library. It’s marked Processing until it’s ready, and you can open it before then.
