# Read a resource

> Find the content, summary, and Scout's report.

Adding a resource gives it a home in the Library. Bettership then prepares the material so you and the agents can work with it.

## Open the resource

Go to **Learn → Library** and open the item you added. You'll find views for its content or transcript, its **Summary**, and **Scout's report**. The content view's name depends on the kind of resource.

These parts can arrive separately. A summary may be readable while the Library still says **Processing**. Scout's report can show that it is in progress, and the Coach/Maker actions become available as the resource is prepared.

* **Content or transcript** is the material Bettership could retrieve or transcribe.
* **Summary** helps you orient yourself to the resource.
* **Scout's report** explains what's in it, how it relates to your Focus Areas, and how it compares with material already in your Library.

The report may have no Focus Area fit to discuss if you haven't defined an active Focus Area. That doesn't stop you from using the resource.

## How long does it take?

There isn't one reliable wait time for every resource. A short note and a long audio recording require different work. Use the resource's progress and error messages to see what is ready and what still needs attention.

## Put it to use

The resource page offers **Practice this with Coach** and **Make something with Maker**. You can also bring the resource into an agent conversation and ask a specific question.
