# Download summaries, transcripts, and notes

> Save a capture's transcript, a summary, or a review guide as a Markdown file you keep.

Save your own summaries, transcripts, and review guides as Markdown files that open in any text editor.

## Before you start

Downloads are part of Plus.

## From a capture or a resource

1. In the Library, open the capture or resource.
2. Choose **…** at the top right of the page.
3. Choose **Download summary**, or on a capture, **Download transcript**. The menu closes and the file saves.

When the item has notes or highlights, the menu also lists **Download notes and highlights**. The menu only lists what the item has.

## From a review guide or cheat sheet

1. In **Practice → Materials**, open the review guide or cheat sheet.
2. Choose **…** at the top right of the page.
3. Choose **Download**. The file saves.

## Or ask Scout

On a capture page, choose **Agent chat** and ask Scout for a file. For example: "Can I get this capture's summary as a file?" Scout's reply shows a card with the file's name. Choose **Save file** on the card. The file saves.

<Note>
  A resource's own text doesn't download, whether it's an article, a podcast or video transcript, or a book. Its summary does.
</Note>

## Check it worked

The file is named after the item and what it holds, for example "Co-Intelligence - Summary.md". It opens in any text editor, and its last line says it was exported for personal use.
