# Use what you made in your AI tools

> Connect Claude to Bettership so it can read your Library and use the items you publish.

When you're done, Claude can read your Library and use the prompts, context packs, and skills you publish from the Studio.

## Before you start

* A Plus or Max plan. Beta access counts.
* The Claude desktop app.
* A prompt, context pack, or skill you made with Maker, if you want Claude to use one.

## Connect Claude

1. In the desktop app, open **Settings → Connectors & MCP** and copy the address under "Add this address as a remote MCP server in your AI tool": `https://api.bettership.ai/mcp`.
2. In the Claude desktop app, choose **Customize** in Claude's sidebar, then the **Connectors** tab.
3. Choose **Add** at the top right, then **Add custom connector**.
4. Enter Bettership in **Name** and the address in **MCP server URL**, then choose **Continue**.
5. The next screen shows **Sign in now** and **Use Claude's published identity**, each already selected. Leave both selected and choose **Add**.
6. Claude shows its Bettership connector page: "You're not connected to Bettership yet." Choose **Connect**. Your browser opens.
7. If your browser shows a page asking "Finish connecting a connector?", choose **Continue connecting** on it.
8. A Bettership page in your browser lists what Claude is asking to read: your Library, and the items you publish. Choose **Allow Access**.
9. Sign in with **Continue with Google** or **Email me a code**.
10. On "Use this Bettership account?", check the email address and choose **Continue**. Your browser shows "Connected".

Claude only reads. It doesn't add, change, or remove anything in Bettership.

## Publish an item

1. In the desktop app, open **Apply → Studio** and choose the item you want Claude to use.
2. Stay on the tab the item opens on, named for its kind, such as **Skill**.
3. Under "Claude handoff prompt", beside **Copy prompt** and **Download files**, choose **Publish to AI tools**. A window lists the files to publish.
4. Choose **Publish**. The button changes to **Published to AI tools**.

If **Publish to AI tools** isn't there, Claude isn't connected yet. Follow the steps under Connect Claude first.

## Use it in Claude

Start a new chat and ask for what you need. You might ask:

* "What does my Bettership Library say about pricing?"
* "Use my interview prep skill from Bettership on this job description."

Claude shows "Used Bettership" when it reads from your account, and names the resources it drew on.

## Check it worked

In the desktop app, **Settings → Connectors & MCP** lists the connection under "Authorized connections" as "Connected", with the time Claude last read from it.

To stop Claude reading, choose **Disconnect** there or on the Bettership page in Claude's **Connectors** tab. Copies Claude already received stay in Claude.
